This site is created for the descendants of John P., Henry, Eva and Genevieve Manning from Greenleaf Township, Meeker County, Minnesota.

The 2023 family reunion is upon us — July 29th, 2023.

Two times the fun, we’ll host the official reunion the afternoon of the 29th at the Darwin Rod & Gun Club, and keep the party going with a game night at the Captain’s Club in Litchfield from 6 to 10pm.

About

This website is for the families of Patrick and Mary Manning’s grand children, John, Henry, William, Eva and Genevieve Manning from Greenleaf Township, Meeker County, Minnesota. James H. Manning and Mary A. Duffy were married in Greenleaf township in 1897 and gave birth to John, Henry and William (Wm died as a young child in 1904). Mary also died in 1904 of the influenza epidemic in Meeker County. James H. remarried Emily Johnson about 1910 (we’re working on the details), and two sisters, Eva and Genevieve were added to the family.

This site is a way for us to stay in touch, share stories and share Ancestry information.

The Mannings immigrate from Ireland

Patrick Manning was born on March 14, 1833, in Clare, Ireland, the son of Sarah and Martin. He married Mary Spelliscy in 1855. They had six children in 14 years:
James H., Mary Ann, Martin, Sarah, John and Luke P.

Patrick Manning died on March 24, 1888, in Greenleaf, Minnesota, at the age of 55. Mary Spelliscy Manning died on April 17, 1923, in Greenleaf, Minnesota, at the age of 92.

Made lovingly by Dawn Frances Putney, great-great granddaughter of Patrick and Mary. I grew up on one of the farms homesteaded by the Manning brothers from Clare County, Ireland.
